Obituary

In beautiful Southeastern Oklahoma, Wallace Beck was born on March 28, 1936 to Wallace Beck, Sr., a farmer and rancher.  Mitti Mae Mills, his Mother was a loving, dutiful home maker that cared for her family with a gentle touch.

Wallace and Mitti had four children; Lola, Milo, T.J. and Wallace.

Upon the sudden death of his Mother, his Father, already deceased, his older sister took Wallace, a young boy of 14, to live with her family in Redlands, California.  Wallace graduated from Redlands High School.  He jumped right into the job market.  In the mean time he married Doris Ann Parker.  They had four children in their life together,  Stevie Wallace, Terry Lee, Jeffrey Scott and Dorelle L..  Wallace was blessed with a loving family.  He provided for his family as a professional Greyhound driver and educator of young drivers beginning their career.

Wallace helped raise his children with love, patience, discipline and humility.  He often took his family on trips to see God's natural beauty of the Western states.  The North Pole was one of the most thrilling.

After thirty years of driving for Greyhound he decided to make the big leap and retire.  During this time he moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.  He spent 15 happy years in the Sun City.  Eventually he moved back to the state of his birth, Oklahoma.

As God led, in time, Wallace met Joanna Faye Odom Etchison.  A love formed destined to lead to their marriage in December of 2018 on the 15 th day.  Years of deep love and devotion were given to Wallace and Joanna, with God at the center of their marriage.

Wallace became active in the First Christian Church of Wagoner.  He served as a greeter and transported children from the Wagoner Public Schools to the After School Program to the First Christian Church.   During this time of commitment to the church, he accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior and was baptized.  He testified his Christian walk by his soft spoken word and gentle spirit.  Wallace was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Long Beach, California for forty five years.  His axiom for living "Christians pay their bills on time.  Christians are on time.  Christians Tithe".    This was a faithful practice!!

Wallace was preceded in death by his first wife of 59 years, Doris Ann Beck, an infant son, Stevie, and a son, Jeffrey Scott Beck.

Wallace is survived by his adoring wife, Joanna and three beautiful daughters; Terry Lee Wahl, and Dorelle L. Beck, both of Flippin, Arkansas and one Step Daughter Hannah Faye Birch of Arlington, Texas.   A daughter in law, Cindy Beck of Wagoner, two nephews; Terry James Beck of Wagoner and Wayne Beck of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, Dr. Richard Allen of Flippin, Arkansas, two very special friends that he loved, Rocky G. Robbins (lifelong friend) from Arizona and Kenny Anderson (from the Greyhound world) living in Iowa.  Wallace has four grandchildren; Mike and Sarah Beck, Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Clayton and Niki (Beck) Meyers of Fort Gibson, Christopher Beck of Nevada.  A step granddaughter Ava Faye Birch of Arlington, Texas, two great-grandchildren, Dallas and Luke Myers of Fort Gibson, and a host of friends that are dear to him and a great-grand doggie, Kiva of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
