Wanda Lee (Hays) Posey was born February 22, 1939 the third eldest of nine children born to Louis John David Hays and Ethel Pearl (Goodpaster) Hays. She was a graduate of Wagoner High School. She married Bill Posey, and together they built a family and home in Okay, OK. Wanda was a beautician, working out of her home shop through the years. She loved watching the many birds who came to feed in her yard.

Wanda's family was the center of her life, and they agree she was the best mom and grandma. They share fond memories of her wonderful cooking and baking, piano playing and solving jigsaw puzzles. Wanda departed this life July 15, 2021 at the age of 82 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Posey; her parents, John and Ethel Hays; brothers-in-law Harvey Hunter and Otis Moore and sister-in-law Shirley Hays.

Survivors include two daughters, Donnette Craft and husband, Hank and Kim Hodges; five grandchildren, Jeremy Craft, Jason Craft, Brian Hodges, Amber Isely, Kara Burris, and their spouses and children; siblings and spouses, David and Norma Hays, Dennis and Sandy Hays, Betty Moore, Laverne and Bob Beighle, Mike and Stephanna Hays, Arlene Hunter, Frankie and Susan Hays and Ronnie and Dwana Hays; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

The family wishes to thank Marie, Robin and the hospice staff for their excellent care.

Viewing will begin at 1 pm Monday and continue through the visitation Monday evening from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Joel Powell will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner.
