Graveside funeral services for William Boyd Moses, 68, of Wagoner will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Veterans National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma with the Reverend Lisa Sowers officiating. Bill was born January 18, 1942 in Smithville, Mississippi to Paul and Stella Jane (Carroll) Moses. He received commendations for serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war Bill began working as an over-the-road truck driver and carpenter. He and his family lived in Arkansas and the Dallas, Texas area before settling in Wagoner. Bill was a big racing fan, and he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Surrounded by his family, he passed away Monday, March 22 at home in Wagoner. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jack Moses, and by his great-granddaughter, Melissa Moses. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of the home; his son, Keith Moses, and his wife, Carol, of Wagoner; two daughters, Susan Moses, also of Wagoner, and Kimberly Hunnicutt and her husband, John, of Tulsa; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Mike Moses of The Colony, Texas; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements and interment in the Veteran's National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma will be directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
