William Jackson Rankins was born May 5, 1943, in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Lora Pearl (Scroggins) Rankins and Earnest Thomas Rankins.

William made Wagoner his home most of his life, until moving to Kinta, Oklahoma to be close to family. William loved going to play bingo and completing circle word books.

William loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. William was very proud of his great-grandchildren and was around them at every opportunity that came about.

William departed this life Thursday, November 17, 2022, at his home in Kinta, Oklahoma. He was 79 years old. William was preceded in death by his parents, Lora Pearl (Scroggins) Rankins, and Earnest Thomas Rankins, Brothers; Gene, Lester, J.R., Marvin, and Danny, a sister, Wanda Fay Carpenter, a daughter, Diana Rankins, and a grandson, Mickey Lee Scroggins Jr.

His family will miss him greatly. Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, Doris Lee Rankins of the home; his son, Dennis and Amanda Rankins of Tahlequah, OK; grandson, William Rankins Jr., and his wife, Kristy of Kinta, OK; grandson, Levi Walton of Beggs, OK; granddaughter, Alexes Rankins and Blake Ross of Wagoner, OK; granddaughter, Breanna Rankins and Jarod Jones of Muskogee, OK; granddaughter, Denise Rankins of Wagoner, OK; sister, Mary Jo Burnett; five great-granddaughter and four great-grandsons, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended family.

Visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel.
