Yolanda Maria (Garcia) Martinez was born January 21, 1953 in Miguel Aleman, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Roman Garcia Sr. and Regina (Orozco) Garcia. In 1961 the family moved to Topeka, KS. After a year they moved to Quinton, OK for five years before finally settling in Wagoner, OK where Yolanda made her permanent home. In 1972 she graduated from Wagoner High School, where Yolanda excelled on the girls' basketball team.

Before she retired Yolanda worked as a circuit board assembler in the automotive industry.

As her family and friends all know and appreciate, Yolanda was a wonderful cook and enjoyed trying new foods. Her love for family gatherings showed how important all her family was to her. She enjoyed being an aunt to her nieces and nephews and participated in helping to raise them. Of all her hobbies, one might say dancing was her passion, but she also liked watching good movies over again and sewing.

Yolanda departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2022 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 69 years. She was welcomed in Heaven by her parents, Roman and Regina Garcia and siblings, Lauro Jimenez, Gloria Maria Ortiz and Consuelo Maria Garcia.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jose Antonio Martinez of the home; her children, Roman Rodriguez and his wife, Shanna of Wagoner, OK, Diana Martinez and Brandon Collins of Wagoner, OK and Antonio Martinez Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Roman Q. Rodriguez and his wife, Hannah, Malcolm L. Rodriguez, Gabriel E. Rodriguez and Miguel A. Lopez-Martinez and Stacy Lee; great-grandchildren, Roman M. Rodriguez, Chayson L. Lee, Alijah Z. A. Martinez and Liam K.L. Martinez; her siblings, Armando Salas, Irene Goytia, Angelica Jimenez, Amalia Montanez, Yolanda's twin, Jose Garcia, Roman Garcia II and Maria Elena Tucker; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A service of life celebration will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Mr. Cesar Moreno.

Interment will follow in Bennett Addition of Elmwood Cemetery.
