Edith Beatrice (Ratliff) Youngblood was born to her loving parents, McKinley and Flora (West) Ratliff in Wagoner County, OK, on May 27, 1944. After graduating from Lincoln High School in Wagoner, Edith attended Long Beach City College.
Edith made her home in Wagoner most of her life, until the last several years when she moved to Tulsa, OK. Before retirement she worked in the field of data processing for various companies and in the health care industry, including Prestolite, J. C. Leake and most recently at St. Mary's Hospital.
In her spare time Edith enjoyed board games, gardening and basketball.
Edith left this life to join her family in Heaven on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 77 years. Those who welcomed her home include her parents, McKinley and Flora Ratliff; her husband, Freddie Youngblood and her daughter, Florence Ratliff.
Her family and friends will always remember Edith as a God loving sister, grandmother, cousin and friend. Loved ones left to cherish her memory include her grandson, McKinley Ben Ratliff of the home; her siblings, Robert Ray Ratliff, Cleon and wife, Karen, Ratliff, Ron Smith and Gina Stake, all of Tulsa, OK; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
Viewing for Edith will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Mallett Funeral Home, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK.
The funeral service celebrating Edith's life will be at 1 pm Saturday in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home. Officiates will include Pastor Jaso Gaines, Minister Winfred McNack Jr., Reverend Cleon Ratliff and Minister Joe Wilson.
