IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Edwin
Suddath
March 9, 1945 – February 2, 2022
James Edwin "Jim" Suddath was born March 9, 1945 in Tulsa, OK to William Shannon Suddath and Bertha Ester (Tillman) Suddath. Following his service in the United States Army Jim began a long career in the health care industry.
He was a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Early in Jim's career he and his wife, Willie Jo Suddath, were part of the Wagoner Community Hospital staff. Jim was one of the first to operate a CT while employed at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He worked at the Doctors Hospital while furthering his training. Most of Jim's work entailed selective arterial grams, IVP imaging, cerebral angiograms, heart catheterizations, radiation therapy and Cobalt 60 tomography.
Jim enjoyed fishing with friends when able. His last few years were trying for Jim because he missed his beloved wife, Willie Jo, so very much. However, he was always interested in what was going on in the world. He will be fondly remembered as a person who knew his mind and did not hesitate to share his opinion of current events.
Jim departed this life Monday, February 7, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK at the age of 76 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Jo Suddath on December 26, 2015 and by his parents.
He is survived by a cousin, Mary Tillman and close friends, Gerald "Jerry" Snider and Marie Vunetich.
The funeral service to honor Jim's life will be at 2:30 pm Monday, February 7, 2022 in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK, where Jim will be laid to rest with Willie Jo. U.S. Army Honors Team will provide Military Rites.
