Obituary

Keith Dee Wayne Baker was born March 5, 1957 in Miami, Oklahoma to Sue Jacqueline (Bowen) and Esmond Keith Baker. Keith moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma in 1969 and has made the community his home since then. He married the former Debra Ivon Elliott on July 25, 1978. Keith worked security for a while. For most of his career he was employed as an electrician for a number of industrial companies, including Ralston Purina and Mid America Yarn Mill. He was a member of the York Street Christian Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Keith's grandchildren were one of the most important things in his life, and he will be sorely missed by family and friends alike. They share fond memories of family get-togethers when Keith barbecued in the smoker.

Keith was proud of his Cherokee heritage and liked all their traditions, particularly the wolf imagery. Keith enjoyed working with computers, fishing and going for drives. He loved to listen to 70's music.

He departed this life Friday morning, June 17, 2022 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, while listening to his favorite song, "Wind of Change". He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Jackie Baker and a sister, Teresa Sue Ferris.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Ivon "Debbie" Baker of the home; his son, Kenneth Dee Wayne Baker of Wagoner, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shawn Dee Wayne Baker of Wagoner, Oklahoma, William Anthony Baker, Brooke Ivon Baker and Kenneth Wayne Baker, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a sister, Pamela Kay Carroll and her husband, Robert of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a brother-in-law, Doug Elliott and his wife, Jennifer, of Wagoner, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.
