Marsha Irene (Cannon) Morgan was born April 26, 1948 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Van Noy and Mary Margaret (Mann) Cannon. She attended Wagoner Public Schools where she played in the school band and graduated from Wagoner High School in 1966. Marsha worked as a site manager in both the convenience store and apartment settings.
She lived in Muskogee, Oklahoma for a number of years. While there she was active in the Epsilon Sigma Alpha service sorority. Her group worked hard to provide funding support for those in need of help, including St. Jude as well as donating many hours volunteering for the School for the Blind.
Marsha made her home in Fort Smith, Arkansas for twenty-five years before moving back to her hometown of Wagoner eight years ago. Her family will always remember her dedication to crafting in many forms. Many of them cherish framed four leaf clovers she made for them. She liked to scrapbook, work with beads, and many different projects. She had a great interest in antiquing and loved to refurbish her finds and gift them to her family.
Marsha's generous heart extended to her beloved cats. She really loved her feline friends. Her talents also included an ability to grow plants, indoor or outdoor varieties. When Marsha was relaxing she loved watching anything on the Hallmark channel and old game shows.
Marsha departed this life on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at her home in Wagoner, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Van Noy and Mary Cannon; her husband, Morris Fender and a brother-in-law, Bruce McCollough.
Left cherish her memory are her daughter, Shelly Renee Downs of Wagoner, OK; two grandsons and their wives, Jeffrey and Erinn Downs of Claremore, OK and Chase and Stephanie Downs of Wagoner, OK; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Kindell, Luca and Lina; two sisters, Shirley McCollough of Porter, OK and Linda Cannon of Wagoner, OK; nieces, Teresa McCollough of Tulsa, OK, Stacy Frazier and husband, Mark of Rockwall, Texas and Lisa Charboneau and husband, Charles of Muskogee, OK; nephews, Chris Weeden of McAlester, OK and Greg Weeden of Wagoner, OK; a number of grandnieces and nephews and great-grands; other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held for family and friends on Monday evening from 5-7 pm.
The funeral service will be at 1 pm Tuesday at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner, OK.
