Myrna Ruth Gillespie was born December 28, 1940 to Clyde Horn and Inola Mae (Peters) Myles. Myrna lived in Tulsa, OK for a time and was employed at Merrill Lynch as a stockbroker.

Her passion was for animals. She made her home in Porter, OK for years where she was a cattle rancher. Her husband and daughters will remember her love for dogs, cats and horses. Time and again Myrna would stop to help an animal in distress, sometimes on a busy highway, without regard for her own safety.

Myrna was married to Dennis Ray Gillespie, and they enjoyed 10 years together. He recalls how they met a dance in Muskogee, OK.

Myrna departed this life early Monday, September 18, 2023 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 82 years. Her parents both preceded her in death.

Myrna will be greatly missed by those who survive her. They include her husband, Ray Gillespie of the home in Stigler, OK; three daughters, Kasi of Tulsa, Suzanne of Coweta and Deborah of Texas; her grandchildren; other extended family and friends.
