Robert Kay Hill was born on August 20, 1924 in Wagoner to Zoe C. Hill and Charles Hill.  He departed this world on January  20, 2022 at the age of 97.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Wagoner.  He attended school in Wagoner and  graduated from Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, OK in 1942.
Upon graduation, he joined the US Marine Corps.   He served in WW II in the Pacific theater fighting on Iwo Jima where he earned a Bronze Star.

After serving, he returned to Wagoner and attended Northeastern State University.
During that time, he met the love of his life, Barbara Rogers.  They were married on December 28, 1947 and recently celebrated their 74th anniversary.

Bob began working at the family's business, Rogers Wholesale Plumbing and Electric Supply in 1949 working side by side Barbara for 45 years until retirement in 1994.

Bob loved the Lord with all his heart and loved sharing Him with others.   He served the Lord most recently as an Elder at Crossroads Community Church.
Bob never met a stranger.  He loved people and loved helping others in anyway he could.  He served on the Wagoner Public  school board for 16 years.

Bob and Barbara were partners for life.   No one could imagine one without the other so it was gracious of the Lord to allow them to go to Heaven within days of each other.  Bob was a gentleman  and as always, ladies first, allowed his bride to enter first as he followed her.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived  by his daughter and son in law, Kay and Tim Chastain of Allen TX.

Brother, Charles Hill and sister Lois Wilson of Martinsville, IN
Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara.
Mother, Zoe C Hill and brother Jack Hill.

A joint celebration of life will be held for Bob and Barbara at 1:30 pm on January 29, 2022 at Crossroads Community Church in Wagoner presided by Pastor Gary Woodson.  The service will also be live-streamed on Crossroads Community Church Facebook page for those who can't attend.

A reception will be held after the service at the church.

The family would like to thank all those who have helped care for the Hill's particularly Prairie House Assisted Living in Broken Arrow, Jamie and Lovie with Mayes Home Health and our sweet Tammy who is an angel on earth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Community Crossroads Church in their memory or any charity of your choice.
