Rolland Lee Patterson was born on April 8, 1937 in Okay, Oklahoma to Ronald Patterson and Odie (Byfield) Patterson.  Rolland married the love of his life Rama Patterson and they were married 58 years before her passing in 2021.
Rolland proudly served his Country in the United States Army.
Rolland enjoyed life; it was the simple things in life that brought him the most joy.  He loved to fish, especially crappie.  Camping was another outdoor activity that he loved. He started out tent camping until he finally owned his own motor home.  Later in life he gained an interest in gardening.  He enjoyed growing many vegetables, tomatoes and okra were his favorite to raise.  The family recalls Rolland to be quite the handy man, stating he could fix anything.  Family was his greatest joy in life.  Family dinners are something he always looked forward to.
Rolland departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Ronald and Odie Patterson; wife, Rama Patterson; sister, Florence Morrison; brothers, Jerry Patterson and June Patterson.
Left to cherish the many memories of Rolland are his daughter, Renee Lingo and her husband, Stan of Union City, OK; son, Phillip Patterson of Claremore, OK; daughter Beverly Humphries and her husband, Ron of Owasso, OK; grandchildren, Justin Lingo and his wife, Ashley, Jacob Lingo and his wife, Allie, Catherine Perina and her husband, Justin; Chase Patterson and his wife, Dani, Mandi Patterson; Taylor Humphries, Alex Humphries, Jordan Humphries, and her husband, Isaiah, Dru Humphries, Jaxson Humphries, and Bryson Humphries; great grandchildren, Laine Lingo, Oaklee Lingo, Nash Lingo, Mason Lingo, Emma Lingo, Austin Lingo; Adelaide Patterson, Cohen Patterson; Rylee Humphries, Russell Humphries, Liam Fleetwood, and Charlotte Fleetwood; brother, Bob Patterson and his wife Tweets, of Wagoner, OK; brother, Robert Patterson and his wife, Diane of Inola, OK; brother, Bill Patterson and his wife, Becky of Wagoner, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.  The family extends great thanks to Oxford Glen Memory Care Center of Owasso, Oklahoma who provided exceptional care for Rolland.
A Graveside service, honoring the Life of Rolland Patterson will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Hulbert Community Cemetery (I.O.O.F) in Hulbert, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m.
