IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Valerie Gail
Whitecotton
December 30, 1956 – December 12, 2023
Valerie Gail (Lewis) Whitecotton was born December 30, 1956 in Tulsa, OK to George Elmer and Gladys Lorene (Valentine) Lewis. Valerie was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa.
Valerie truly cared about people. This sweet and caring nature was ideal for her work as a home health aide.
Valerie married the love of her life, Michael Whitecotton, in May, 1995. They were blessed with two daughters, Nastasha and Amanda. She and Michael were long time members of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Valerie dearly loved her family, and her life centered with them. She cherished the time spent caring for her granddaughter, Emelia, to whom she was Meme. In her spare time she loved reading.
Valerie departed this life Tuesday evening, December 12, 2023 at Amanda's home in Wagoner, OK at the age of 66 years. She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, George and Gladys Lewis, and her daughter, Nastasha Coats.
Her family who survive her will always cling to the precious memory of her in their lives. She was a loving wife to husband, Michael Whitecotton of the home; devoted mother to her daughter Amanda Cole and her husband, Phillip, of Wagoner; a doting grandmother to Emelia Lynn Cole, Alexiah Cole and Deaunte Favors; and a dear sister to her brother, David Lewis and his wife, Nancy. Her extended family and friends will greatly miss having her in their lives as well.
The family and friends will gather for a Visitation on Sunday, December 17 from 1 pm-5 pm.
The Celebration of Life will be at 10 am Monday, December 18, 2023 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home. The Reverend Wesley Graver will officiate.
